We got all the way to the finals at Regionals a few weeks ago! We were already qualified for U.S. Open, but we hoped to qualify other teams and hopefully win our way to World. We did win the Think award and Tournament Finalist.
We received an invitation from the CREATE foundation today. We are going to the U.S. open championship in April! Our season isn't over yet!
We are preparing the robot and drive team for Regionals. It's a time for improvements, practice, and programming. So we added an ultrasonic sensor to help with our autonomous. We are also going to be on the local news! Someone is coming to interview us on Wednesday for a news segment. Until Regionals, it's work, work, work!
We have qualified for East Texas Regionals! Very happy about that. We have learned that the qualifications for World and U.S. Open aren't like we thought they were. The tournament champions will qualify for U.S. open, and winners of the Design and Excellence awards qualify for World. Wish us best of luck!
We went to the town of Flower Mound for a middle-school only tournament. In the qualification rounds, we were paired with several good robots and were able to pick our alliance as third place. After picking teams 2148J and we progressed to the final round, where our alliance did very well. We ended up winning Tournament Champion, and qualified ourselves for the Texas Regional Tournament next month.
